Drive for caisson doors (ebb gates)
Dry dock caisson doors are used to open and close locks in tide-dependent shipyards, in shipbuilding and in ports. The outer gate, the flood gate, and the inner gate, the ebb gate, are therefore exposed to the tides and a tide-free basin. The outer flood gate and the inner ebb gate are opened and closed using two TECDOS PI-GAMMA head drives, the matching TECDOS round steel chains and TECDOS components. The TECDOS PI-GAMMA drive technology system pulls the floodgates horizontally into the conveying chamber and defies all weather conditions.
